Architectural Design

We have an in-house creative design studio focused on delivering high quality architecture to the specific needs of our clients.
From our central London base we work across a range of sectors, including mixed-use, residential and private houses, as well as the retail, leisure and commercial markets. We have significant experience working in the historic environment, including design in conservation areas as well as work on listed buildings.
We provide a full range of architectural services, from the conception of the project through to completion on site, and we are equally experienced in design and delivery. Our top priority is to provide a dedicated and unparalleled personal service throughout the project.

Initial Stages: We undertake site analysis, commission surveys, research planning policy, and will develop a brief together with the client. From this we generate design ideas and options for further discussion.

The Planning System: We work closely with planning authorities and local communities to secure planning consents, whether for small domestic projects or multi-million pound regeneration schemes. We have extensive experience working in conservation areas and on listed buildings.
We are very familiar with the planning process and the formal pre-application system which many London Boroughs now offer. We are experienced in presenting our proposals to Design Review Panel and Planning Committee. After submission we will monitor the application's progress and stay in touch with the case officer.

Building Regulation compliance: We can produce drawings and specifications for Building Regulations approval and work closely with Head Projects Independent Approved Inspectors. Cost Control: We are acutely aware of the importance of cost. Consequently, monies available for construction, consultant fees, statutory charges and VAT are all discussed at an early stage, and are regularly reviewed, to ensure that the design is correctly tailored to suit the budget.

On Site: We take projects beyond tender stage through to completion of the building, working either for the client under a 'traditional' form of contract or for the contractor as a novated consultant under a 'design and build' form of contract.
We produce working drawings and specifications for contractors to price and use for construction. We can give advice on which building contract to use and provide contract administration duties. Throughout the construction period we will visit site if required, review progress of the work and chair site meetings.
